Adjacent to WNUR-FM, this newly renovated 1,700 square foot sound studio and performance space can accommodate anything from a radio monologue to an 18-piece orchestra. SA&I students use this space for classes and recording projects.
Within the main office of our program, we have a new computer editing lab with 12 workstations. We also have 3 additional editing stations and a 5.1 surround sound editing suite, as well as access to a patio during the day.
Virtual Sound Room (ViSoR)
This state-of-the-art room opened at the Center for Audiology, Speech, Language, and Learning. It contains 16 microphones, 33 speakers, and 4 subwoofers, using studio simulations to mimic real-world scenarios. SA&I partners with the Center for the course Multichannel Sound Environments, bridging the gap between art and science.
